U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement announced it arrested an “Afghan illegal alien” with a criminal record in Rochester. ICE said it arrested Waheed Allah Mohammad during a targeted operation on New York’s Day.
Multiple posts on Facebook and TikTok have stated that undercover or plain clothes ICE agents are walking around the farm show and staying at local hotels without naming a source for their information.
“ICE should be disbanded,” Texas Rep. Joaquin Castro told The Bulwark. “It has become a completely rogue operation arresting U.S. citizens, engaged in racial profiling, and deporting people out of the country without telling their families where they’re sending them.”

In the hands of Donald Trump and Stephen Miller, ICE is a virtual secret police. Masked and heavily armed, ICE agents are sent to cities such as Chicago, Los Angeles and Minneapolis to terrorize immigrant communities and brutalize people who challenge their efforts to stop and detain anyone deemed suspicious.
The heavy ICE presence in Minnesota reverberated around the globe on Jan 7. when an agent fatally shot Renee Good, who was described as a “legal observer” by Attorney General Keith Ellison.
“It’s estimated that more than 60,000 members of the Navajo Nation live in the Phoenix and surrounding areas. With the potential increase in ICE presence in Phoenix, we unfortunately anticipate that tribal members will be impacted through racial profiling and unnecessary encounters that place our people at risk."
